Can anyone suggest a place to eat and go out on Christmas Day in New Orleans?
I’m not spending Christmas with the family this year. In fact I’ll be all by myself. The b/f is going to D.C. to spend time with his family and I’m just looking for somewhere to go to prevent a melt down (lol). I’m 25 and I’m working with a $50 – $75 budget. I’m looking for a nice dinner and maybe some fun afterwards. Any thoughts? I’ve lived here my whole life until Katrina. I spent Xmas 2006 alone and it was dreadful. I’m not going with the b/f because despite the fact that we’ve been dating 8+ years, she does not approve of us sleeping in the same be under her roof. TMI, I know. but I thought it would help you all help me.
Thanks in advance & Happy Holidays.

look for what you want on here!!!!!this website will give you a price and menu. There are actually a lot of restaurants open on Christmas Day. You can’t go wrong with Commanders, Cafe Adelaide, or La Côte Brasserie! Good luck! I would go to commanders then Columns for drinks after! Or Cafe Adelaide Then Pat o’s!!!!!!!

Many restaurants will be closed for Christmas day & evening, but not all. Almost all of the restaurants in the large hotels will be open.
If it were me, I would go to Tujaques restaurant (open until 9:00pm on Christmas Day) or the Rib Room in the Royal Orleans. Afterward to Decatur Street or Frenchmen Street, where there are bound to be a number of bars/clubs open (have an Irish Coffee or few at Molly’s at the Market). There will also be clubs open on Bourbon Street.

Go to Deanies and get the Shrimp Platter or go to Gene’s and get a hot sausage Po-boy dressed with cheese.
