born and raised in baton rouge, Louisiana here! generally, as long as you stay away from bourbon street, you can avoid most of the indecent exposure. however, if you’re into all that and you’re lookin for some culture shock, bourbon street is the place to be!! hit up pat o’ brians and order a hurricane!! theyre amazing! also, look into Spanish town parade in baton rouge. it’s pretty fun as well!

You can expect a BUNCH of drunks, and seeing a lot of boobs. I haven’t been in about 2 years, but if you like to party you will have a blast! Big crowds, and lots of pushing if you stay on the street, try to get into a club or bar and get on a balcony. –its much better than standing around on the street.

Mardi Gras used to be a fun religious experience. Mardi Gras is supposed to be religious!!! But anyways… to stay away from the crime and violent part of it, then stay away from Bourbon Street.On boubron you will probably witness someone being stabbed because last year i did! Since Katrina everyone has been so ANGRY. I can’t explain it…
Oh yeah, and you will see a bunch of BOOBIES! That’s all girls do is flash their stuff. They do it when it isn’t even mardi gras lol
