Should I give up on our so called friendship? Advice Appreciated?

Let me state that we have been best friends since 2000, well over 6 yrs +. We became best friends in high school JROTC. I joined the army in 2004, and came home in 2005 which is when Hurricane Katrina hit. I moved to Houston but I visited New Orleans during Holidays, Birthdays, etc. We were close, I viewed her as my sister. I have been told that time changes and people change. I dont want to give up on our friendship simply because it will hurt. I have called, texted, emailed- I have tried in every way to find out if our friendship still exists. It seems as if I am trying too hard, but I honor friendship. I sent an email last night, I havent recieved a reply as of yet. I want to know, if I should just give up on the friendship and move on- or try to make amends. I dont know what to do …. help, advice?

Thanks in advance!

Ask her what’s up with her not e-mailing or texting back. I asked my friend and she told me: “No I’m not mad at you!!! Your my sister!!!” And yeah we were so close practically like sisters. Ask her! But you said she changed? Find something in common with her and do it, maybe YOU changed also, and you both changed together. (I know it sounds funky lol)

When you have to try that hard, it’s time to move on. She doesn’t view your friendship as important anymore.

Make sure she is getting your messages, once you know that she is ,then it may be that she doesn’t want to be your friend anymore .
