I wanna volunteer or something while I’m there for a business trip. Any suggestions?

There are many volunteer efforts still ongoing, but most of them (like Habitat for Humanity) are structured to receive help via already-organized groups who commit to a week or more. City Park (http://www.neworleanscitypark.com/volunteer.html) and Covenant House (http://www.covenanthouse.org/) can use individuals but they mostly need people who can be there regularly (ex. every Tuesday or whatever).
The best way you can help New Orleans on your trip is to >>> have a good time!

Always keep your wallet and your cell phone in plain sight, and do not go out at night

And don’t listen to “Andy H” because he obviously hasn’t been there (or has and got too drunk one night…).
