Teenage christmas party?

My sister and I want to hold a Christmas party with all of our friends during the holidays. We already have an amazing selection of Christmas music and great food ideas; however, we need some ideas for what to do during the party. I have heard about a million times the gift exchange/white elephant idea, but we want to do something different at our party. We can’t do anything with snow, since it rarely snows in New Orleans, unless by chance there is a miracle this year! Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
P.S. Our friends are around 16 and 17 years old.

You can build gingerbread houses, no matter how old you are, these are still fun. Especially the decorating part. Im 21 and I like to build them.
You already heard the story about the secret santa game, drawing names and getting a gift for that person. Giving it away with your identity at the party.
Since it is christmas related, I would suggest that you rent a dvd that is related to christmas (a christmas story) or even that new one that came out I can not recall the name of it.
These are indoor suggestions of course, considering you said their is no chance of snow.

    Mystery Stocking

Divide the group in to teams of 3-5 people per team. Give each team a Christmas stocking full of holiday objects that has been tied shut with ribbon. (Get the stockings ready ahead of time by filling them loosely with small non-fragile items- candy canes, plastic holly/mistletoe, tree ornaments, etc.) Set a timer and give each team 3 minutes to feel the stocking and write down all the objects that they can identify by feeling them through the stocking. The team with the most correct items wins.

    Popcorn Chains

Give each person a bowl of popped corn and a needle threaded with red or green thread or yarn. Set a timer for three minutes and everyone has to string as many pieces of popcorn onto their thread as they can before the timer goes off. The winner is the person with the most popcorn on their chain.

My friends and I have done this for a few years now ( I am 18) and I suggest treating it like a normal party and just let the underlying theme be Christmas. Invite boys and girls. Bring out the board games. Unless your friends are really creative and mature don’t do “prank presents” all it will be is a lot of cheap thongs and condoms etc. Instead skip presents all together. If you have a fire place build a fire. Get out the hot chocolate and pump the music. ( not just holiday music) You could watch movies and snuggle up in fuzzy blankets or host a dance contest ( be sure to film it !!) Also fun, gingerbread house making , cookie decorating, man-hunt (only if you live on a lot of property) PS: I live in La too I know how the no snow thing goes. ♥

do the old time games that you used to play when you were young to bring some old memories back…

i think you should just treat like a regular party, and have the theme as christmas. play some music, and get everyone dancin!
