How can make school reinvent the Mardi Gras theme?

We’re doing a fashion show and might have a Mardi Gras theme. The theme is a little cliche now with the masks and colors but, how could we make it new and refreshing? What can we do different from other Mardi Gras parties? Any ideas or tips?

Mardi Gras is known for its music and the beads. Why not recruit the band department to play traditional music for the models to walk to. The models can throw beads to the audience as they are walking….

Get back to some of the original ideas of Mardi Gras.

It might get controversial though, and the school may not approve.

Well…it’s Zulu’s 100 year anniversary this year. You can do some research on that Krewe and come up with some fabulous ideas and costumes and throws.

just use mardi gras colors. Use beads and maybe make second line parade for the something.
