What should I wear to a semi-formal mardi gras dance?


My school is having a Mardi Gras dance for the semi-formal.
I’m not quite sure what to wear or where to get something. I have a black and white crazy patterned dress that I was planning on wearing, as I had bought it for the ball we were supposed to have. I know that Mardi Gras is supposed to be colorful so I would need lots of accessories to brighten up my outfit. Also where could I buy a mask and what type of accessories should I have? Thank you!
I’m 5′7 so I’m probably going with low heels. And I walk like an old lady when I go upstairs in high heels so…

    You should go ahead with your black and white crazy pattern dress, but load up on purple, green, and yellow accessories. I suggest geometric and chunky bangles and of course the traditional Mardi Gras beads. Any part planning store should have a bunch of masks. And if you can work heels, try ones like this:
