		<description>Well, being there for the last part of Mardi Gras is your best bet -- that way you get to experience some of the larger, more popular parades:  Bacchus, Endymion, Orpheus etc. -- they take place during the last 4 days.

Have you been to New Orleans before? None of the parades actually take place in the French Quarter, but you might want to stay there anyways and experience the craziness there like a true tourist, yet head over to where the majority of parades roll (Uptown) and pretend to be a local.

There are lots of hotels in the FQ:
You can do a quote, sort the results by price or based on distance from a point-of-interest.
