I used to live in New Orleans while attending Tulane years before Katrina and have never had the opportunity to return. I’d like to plan a trip back to NOLA, but have no idea what it’s like post-Katrina. Also, while in NOLA I lived near Canal St. & Carrollton Avenue. How was this area affected by the hurricane? Thank you.
P.S. How did the area around University of New Orleans fare? Badly because of proximity to the levees?

I have the opportunity to this summer to go to New Orleans to do hurricane relief, I have already signed up and paid but now my two best friends who were supposed to be going on the trip have new opportunites one has been invited to act in an amazing Film Festival and the others band finally got its big break and is playing with really well known bands the same week. I suffer from severe anxiety and panic disorder and there is no way i could go without them. They are not being selfish they have worked their whole lives for what they have been offered, I feel as though I need to go to New Orleans but I am not sure what to do. How do I know if its the right time or if its what God wants me to do? I know that I just need to pray and ask for him to show me, but I am SOOO limited for time. I need my answer asap. Help!

Looking into taking a trip to France in 22 days. Is it best to submit the passport and send through the ‘Urgent’ process or book an appointment at the regional passport office?

One friend has seemingly endless funds…
Question Details: The other 2 of us don’t. The one with all the money also has her 18 year old sister coming along. She wants to buy 80 tickets (w/fees) to the Essence festival and I really don’t want to spend that much on one place.

I sent out an email to everyone listing EVERYTHING we can do that weekend. Including zoos (boring) or even a ghost tour.

What would ya’ll suggest our schedule be like? I want my friends to respond so we don’t get out there with no clue and people get mad cuz they don’t get to do what they want to, but none of them have responded to my initial email. What should I do and what do ya’ll believe should be a guideline for our schedule?

Under the assumption that I will not need a car rental for this trip because parking is limited and streets are narrow as well as most of the things to do for fun are in that district.

Tryin to decide between going on a 1 week west coast road trip, or a New Orleans trip in July. I am leaning toward New Orleans since we have friends there and can borrow there car. If we do west coast trip it will be very costly, and we are saving for a big trip to S.America next. So how is New Orleans for a week visit…would we get bored. We love good foor, and i think that would bethe highlight of the trip for me. My husband always raves about New Orleans….I don’t know what to be excited for. How is there tourism there now?
